First and foremost I would like to genuinely thank you for taking a moment to visit my website. Your interest and continued support is greatly appreciated.
What I, and this site, will always be about is unyielding pursuits of social justice, compassion, and understanding. There are far too many people and voices in our world that are more than pleased being controversial and partisan to garner support and a viewership. Though I have always been one to say exactly what is on my mind I have always prided that pursuit on being tempered by tact and fairness.
I make no bones that I do lean “Left” but I never pigeonhole my views and writing to the liberal platform. It is a steadfast belief that we much cast aside the labeled constructs to shine truth on complex global issues. Liberal, conservative, tempered, controversial, willing to compromise, stubborn; no matter your affiliation or personal leanings it is absolutely crucial to our sustainability as a nation and a world that we approach the world with an even hand and deep self-reflection.
Stones are cast and condemnations are easily made when one does little but pontificate about the rights and wrongs of their world. Often these broad condemnations of others, their views, and proposals come with resounding hypocrisy and devoid of genuine truth.
My goal, personally, professionally, and with this site is to promote the open and productive dialogue that facilitates meaningful solutions to tangible real world issues. Real talk.
Thank you so much for what you did yesterday. That man on the bridge was my brother and I love him very much. May God always bless you for what you have done. We all appreciate you so much. Our family will be eternally grateful.
Posted by Susan Forsythe | August 15, 2010, 9:59 pmPlease don’t mention it. I did what I was raised to do. But, in any case, you and your family are more than welcome. I hope your brother is able to see and sustain happiness he has apparently struggled to find. Bless you too. I thank you deep from heart for your kind words and gratitude. I wish Sean and your entire family all the peace, comfort, and happiness life can provide.
Posted by Evan Trowbridge | August 15, 2010, 11:03 pmI like what this is all about. Your goal seems to be similar to what I try to do on my site: discourseamerica.wordpress.com. Keep up the “Real Talk.”
