The latest two sets of remains found along a New York beach highway are human, US authorities said today, bringing to 10 the number of bodies found in a search for victims of a suspected serial killer.
Officials have not definitively linked all the remains found in the past five months to the same suspect, but they have said four escorts who advertised on the website Craigslist who were found in December were probably the victims of a serial killer.

US President Barack Obama has briefed congressional leaders on his budget deficit plan, in a bid to draw a contrast with Republican proposals.
He will propose reducing spending on healthcare programmes for the poor and elderly and on defence, and raising taxes on the wealthy, aides have said.
Speaking after the meeting, Republican congressional leaders rejected any move to increase tax revenue.
The $1.4tr (£860m) deficit will be a top issue in the 2012 campaign.

A police dive team began searching the waters today along a barrier island off New York’s Long Island area where at least nine bodies have already been found.
A trio of divers slipped into the waters of Hemlock Cove, a bay off a stretch of Oak Beach where some of the human remains have been found.
